Jewish comic and song parodist Allan Sherman recorded “Bye Bye Blumberg” on his 1964 album, For Swinging Livers Only. The song, which is sung to the tune of “Bye Bye Blackbird” is about a self-promoting traveling salesman and concludes with the verse:
Even in Arabia when I fly by,
Abdul Nasser stands there waving bye bye.
And you’ll see when I’m really gone,
In neon lights at Forest Lawn,
“Blumberg, bye bye.”
